PRESCRIPTION FOR MANAGEMENT

MISCELLANCEOUS PRESCRIPTIONS:

A) CENSUS OPERATION :- It is proposed to carry out census operation on move scientific lines.  Use of digital camera in census operation is recommended.  Also impression pads at strategic points like roads, waterholes should be laid down every year.  These impression pads should be mapped and documented.  Help of local N.G.O’s nature lovers etc. in conducting the census operation should be encouraged. To carry out census operation effectively an amount of Rs. 1.00 lakh per year will be required. 

B) To work in co-ordination with the other agencies in the interest of providing compatible land uses on adjacent non sanctuary areas.

C) To raise funds for various development activities with the help of donors like private individuals, local industries etc.

D) To recycle certain percentage of revenue obtained for protection and other management activities.

E) To provide insurance to the field staff against death, incapacitation and injury while on duty.

F) To encouraged establishment of forest protection committees.

G) This management plan should be evaluated and monitored periodically as felt by the management and if certain shortcomings are observed at every evaluation, those needs to be rectified in future implementation of the plan.  Also the status report of the sanctuary should be prepared at the end of every year.

H) Use of satellite maps. Geographical Information System and equipments like Geographical positioning System should be encourage.  This will help in habitat monitoring and evaluation. For this an amount of Rs. 1.00 lakh will be needed every year.

I) It is proposed to select a suitable local species of plant, animal or bird as a logo of this sanctuary.
